Lam Kinh is the homeland of the Le Dynasty - the birthplace of national hero Le Loi, the origin of the famous Lam Son uprising in the 15th century, the place where heroes from all over the world gathered to join hands and rise up to fight the enemy to save the country. After 10 years (1418-1428) of a long-term resistance war, Le Loi ascended the throne in Thang Long - Hanoi, took the reign name Thuan Thien, named the country Dai Viet, opened a period of independence and prosperity for the country that lasted nearly 360 years. Like the Ly and Tran dynasties, to show respect to their ancestors, the Le Dynasty built many large-scale temples and mausoleums in Lam Son. To worship ancestors, it is the resting place of kings, royal mothers, and queen mothers, where ceremonies are held, where the kings pay homage to the mausoleums. Lam Kinh is considered the "second capital" of Dai Viet after Thang Long Dong Do - Hanoi. This is a relic site with many sacred cultural values not only for the people of Thanh Hoa but also for the whole nation. View more
