Thanh Hoa is an ancient land, the place where the Dong Son culture was discovered and the central area that shone since the time of King Hung's founding. This is also the place where 7 ethnic groups live and each community still preserves its own cultural nuances and identities, good cultural values, contributing to the formation of a unified and diverse Vietnamese culture.

Over the years, the Thanh Hoa Ethnic Culture Festival has been held annually, practically preserving, honoring and promoting the good traditional cultural values ​​of the ethnic groups in Thanh Hoa province.

The 20th Thanh Hoa Ethnic Culture Festival gathered nearly 1,000 artisans, actors, musicians from 27 districts, towns and cities to participate in the competition contents: performing folk arts, traditional ethnic costumes, performing special performances.

With the theme "Spring in Thanh Hoa", the 20th Thanh Hoa Ethnic Culture Festival introduces rituals, customs, cultural activities, especially art performances: Thai Xoe, Mong flute, Gong performance, unique and vibrant traditional costumes of the ethnic groups: Kinh, Muong, Thai, Tho, H'Mong, Dao, Kho Mu.
